A Regional programme of UN-HABITAT’s programmatic approach, viz. Water and Sanitation Trust Fund.
Resulted as an outcome of the Regional Consultation by UN-HABITAT in cooperation with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the countries in the region.
Launched at the 3rd World Water Forum on 18th March 2003.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between UN-HABITAT and ADB for 2003-2007 and on completion, an enhanced MoU was signed for another five years, viz. 2007-2011.
Currently engaged in providing pro-poor water and sanitation spread over India, Nepal, P.R. China, Lao PDR, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia and Pakistan.
