UN-HABITAT facilitated establishment of HVWSHE classrooms in one of the important government schools in the cities of Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, India through the partnership of the State Government and the Centre for Environment Education. The basic objective of this initiative is to create a new water-use ethic through value-
based water education by imparting knowledge and information on water, sanitation and hygiene, and also inspiring and motivating learners to change their behaviour with a view to promote sustainable use of water and sanitation practices.
